Saipem is organised into two Business Units: Engineering & Construction and Drilling, with a strong bias towards oil & gas related activities in remote areas and deepwater. Saipem is a leader in the provision of engineering, procurement, project management and construction services with distinctive capabilities in the design and execution of large-scale offshore and onshore projects, and technological competences such as gas monetisation and heavy oil exploitation. MQUADRO systems (M SAT03) including both cellular and satellite communication capabilities were selected by Saipem for their performance, robustness and flexibility being able to operate both in on-and-off shore environments and globally even above 70° parallel.

MQUADRO developed an innovative solution for improving safety of the postmen: this system is called CPE (Casco Protettivo Elettronico or Electronic Protective Helmet) which is provided with several sensors and comunication modules in order to notify possible events during their normal outdoor operations.

These systems are currently in use in 20 postal centers within four regions of southern Italy (Sicily, Calabria, Puglia and Campania).

Mquadro supplied an integrated (Hardware and Software) system to monitor assets, installations and vehicles for a primary italian gas-and-oil company with worldwide operations.

The FVG Agency has been appointed by the central department of the Civil Protection “leading agency” at a national level for innovation and technical supply. Mquadro developed and deployed an integrated system for the localization and monitoring of more than 500 in between vehicles and assets within the regional area.

In-house company of the Area Science Park entity, Innovation Factory scrl is the “first mile incubator” of one of Italy's largest Science and Technology Park based in Trieste.
